Chris Fortuna is a photographer and filmmaker based in Los Angeles, California.
Originally from a small town near Boston Massachusetts Chris began photographing in his early teens with a Yashica Mat camera focusing on skateboarding and music. He went on to study fine art and commercial photography at Rhode Island School of Design and Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.
Post schooling Chris spent a few years living abroad visually documenting youth culture in Eastern Europe, London, Paris and Ireland.
Returning to NYC he ventured into the world of commercial photography by learning and working with such old world masters as Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, and Paolo Roversi.
Currently Chris fortuna is based in los angeles, his work is characterized by its cinematic feel and vivid imagery. His photography has been featured in numerous publications, including Esquire, The New York Times Magazine and gq.
When he's not behind the camera, Chris can often be found exploring new landscapes as inspiration for his next project.
